CBI FCU Remains Here For Our Members!
CBI Federal Credit Union has been here for our members since 1963, and we will continue to do the same during this difficult time. The safety and welfare of our members and employees are a top priority as we continue to respond to this rapidly changing situation. We embrace the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People” and have established plans to assist our members who may experience financial issues due to this pandemic.
Financial relief programs now in place!
If you or your family are experiencing financial hardship due to the current health pandemic, we’re here and ready to help with financial relief solutions to fit your situation. We are launching several programs designed to offer financial relief to our members that are in need.
- Short-term Emergency Loan as low as 5.6% APR for 24 months.
If you have a short-term financial impact from economic challenges related to the COVID-19, we are here to try and help. We are offering an emergency, short-term qualifying loan up to $5,000 with no payment until May 25.
You may have been financially impacted by the economic developments related to the COVID-19 outbreak and making a regular scheduled payment may become difficult. CBI FCU wants to help by allowing you to skip a monthly payment on your CBI FCU Signature Loan, Auto or RV or credit card, Mortgage loans are excluded. We will consider granting you a skip this month or next. Your credit score will not be negatively impacted. You will need to complete this Skip-A-Payment Form and submit this to the Loan Department for processing.
To take advantage of any of these relief programs, please watch our website and your Quarterly Newsletter for more details.
We are also doing the following:
- Reimburse ATM and Share Branching Fees
If you have visited an ATM or a Shared Branch anytime during the month of MARCH and APRIL 2020, we are in the process of reimbursing your fees for the ATM. If you incurred any fees by visiting a Shared Branch in MARCH and APRIL also, those fees will be reimbursed either as of April 1, 2020 or May 1, 2020 on your account.
- Waive Late Fees
If you are late on your CBI FCU loan payments due to economic developments related to the COVID-19 outbreak, please let us know and we will waive your late fee by calling (815) 439-5012. We understand that the current circumstances can be disruptive to your normal routine, including making your loan payments. Your Credit Union is here for you and wants to help.
- Waive Early Withdrawal Fees - Holiday Savings Account & Certificate of Deposits (CD’s)
If you currently have a Holiday Savings Account or a Certificate of Deposit, we will waive the fee for these two types of products due to the economic developments that have occurred. You will need to contact the credit union to access those funds so that fees aren’t accessed.
We are committed to the well-being of our membership and we are here to help in any way we can. If you have any questions, please contact us at 815-439-5012.
